At Pudding Studio, we love crafting design. We believe that every piece of work should carry not only beauty and functionality, but also a part of us — a personal touch from our creative and design team. And now, we find ourselves in a moment where AI has truly become a powerful tool, capable of turning our ideas into tangible and real content. That’s why we embarked on an experiment to create an imaginary music star, along with her debut song and music video.
At the core of this entire project lies what is perhaps the most important element — the song. It all began with the lyrics, which were written entirely without the help of AI. However, both the music and the vocal performance were created entirely using Suno.
ChatGPT helped us shape the artist’s character and key visual frames. However, the concept for the video, the emotional tone, the shot composition, and the entire storytelling were all developed without the use of AI.
Kling played a key role in transforming static images into realistic video footage. We fed Kling with previously generated images (created with ChatGPT) that were additionally refined manually, along with highly detailed prompts — and the results speak for themselves.
The creation of the music track is the foundation of this project and, as such, it deserves a full case study of its own. Since our focus here is on the visual aspect of the experiment, we’ll simply say that we thoroughly enjoyed making the song — the lyrics were written without any help from AI, while SUNO helped us bring the rhythm and the artist’s vocals to life.
The first step in creating the music video was, of course, creating its star. So, meet VIA. We fed ChatGPT with our ideas and moodboards we had previously created. After a lot of tweaking and fine-tuning, the results turned out to be nothing short of magical.
The next step was shaping the concept—defining the narrative, direction, and emotional tone of the music video. This phase was particularly rewarding, as we didn’t ask AI to think on our behalf. Instead, we crafted the entire storyline and visual arc to complement the track, with ChatGPT assisting by generating keyframes that served as creative reference points for the raw video material.
The idea was for the final result to appear completely realistic. What made that possible was a clearly defined prompt—one that included all the details a film crew would have in front of them on a movie set. From format and aspect ratio to specifying the lens type and its focal length, aperture settings, and even the white balance and color grading.
And one more detail—though not directly related to the music video—VIA was also given her own visual identity in the form of custom VIA typography. This, too, was crafted entirely by us, without any assistance from AI.
Here at Pudding Studio, we love Reddit, and /r/sideproject is one of the most inspiring communities for us. The number of great ideas in their early stages is enormous. We stumbled so many times upon something with a huge potential to become a widely-used product.
This is how we stumbled upon a project called nousb, which has a primary focus on providing a quick and easy way to share files. What caught our attention is the fact that user privacy is the main pillar of the service. As soon as the user closes the nousb tab in their browser, all the content is permanently deleted, for the sender, the receivers, and for everyone, including nousb. Forever.
We realized that there is room for improvement both in the brand image and the product itself, so we reached out to post OP and this is how the redesign started.
And finally—the best part. Once we gathered all the raw material, we switched into full manual craft mode. It was time to piece the puzzle together. The editing phase of the music video is where we truly felt the power of combining AI-generated content with human creativity.
During editing, you simply realize that there’s room for a new shot, and one of the real benefits is that—thanks to all the mentioned tools—we can easily and quickly create and have that shot ready with just a bit of effort. By comparison, in the real world, this is often an impossible process, as it would require a time machine to go back to the shoot day, or an attempt at reshooting—which, in most cases, fails to fully capture the same conditions as on the original day of filming
We’re certain that in the future, AI will be able to sense emotion and, guided by that, edit a complete music video on its own. But as of now—April 2025—this task is still best left to those with a clear vision, capable of conveying aesthetics and emotion to the audience.
